Wish my father could have participated and his 6 brothers, who all served during WWII.
My father recieved the Bronze star with V, I wish he would have lived long enough to have seen the memorial these men so richly deserve.

They just a news story on Honor Flight in our area. Turns out that the guy who got it started here in the Toledo area was my first band director back in Jr High :)

There are three organizations that I back whole-heartedly, as well as financially and Honor Flight is one of them. (the others are the Red Cross because of the blood Walt used in 2006 and Make-A-Wish because of the wish they granted for my niece).

It was my honor to meet my dad in DC and help, for an honor flight from San Francisco, last year. That is an awesome organization! They take the vets on a tour of several monuments and memorials in Washington. Treated them like the heroes they are.

How wonderful your father got to see the memorial.
