Anthony Verdict
Not guilty of murder. Guilty of false statements.

Re: Anthony Verdict
Unbelievable. Just sadly unbelievable. I know it's probably not right for me to say this, but I hope she is haunted by that baby's face every single minute of every single day for the rest of her life. Or at least until she owns up to what she did and repents of it and then is willing to pay the price.
I know there are those who will say that we were not on that jury so we can't really know everything, but the thing was sooooo televised, I can't believe they know anything we didn't. Frankly, I would not want to be part of that jury either. Imagine the heat they're gonna take now! |

Re: Anthony Verdict
Simple - The prosecution - the inept government attorneys, did NOT prove their case. It was speculation, innuendo, and too much vague drama on their part. Lots of wishful thinking! I hope the government will put this DA and judge out to pasture.
The whole thing is sad and a baby is dead. Someone is to blame and someone will pay for it! Whoever killed this baby will suffer for the rest of their life - whether free or incarcerated. She was obviously guilty of something - but the prosecution wanted ALL or NOTHING - They gambled - they lost - they got NOTHING! Oh, and about her lying, If you are EVER arrested or threatened with arrest - whether you are read your rights or not - KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT AND DO NOT ADMIT TO ANYTHING AT ANYTIME! The media always slants the "NEWS" so you can NEVER believe the news no matter what they say or how liberal or conservative they are. They all have their slant! |

They were supposed to prove she done it. There is no doubt in my mind that the mom was a liar before the baby was born. It was not the defenses duty to prove she didn't do it. The media had tried her and claimed she was guilty. |

Just about everyone here in O-town believes she had something to do with the death of her daughter. There just wasn't enough physical evidence tying her to the commission of the deed that caused the death of that precious little girl. Our office was shocked-- most were disgusted. |
Re: Anthony Verdict
There is no doubt she is guilty. Its obvious by the lies and the way she acted while the child was "missing".
But there is something to be said about the jury that I admire and respect. They overlooked all emotion and what was obvious and stuck with the facts. I have no doubt everyone on the jury knows and believes she is guilty, but to be able to set that emotion aside and judge her based on the evidence is very admirable, and somewhat uncommon in our legal system. |
