I do not know what Obama is proposing for medicare in the USA, but y'all are crazy to not want medicare. lol. In Canada we have medicare and do not let anyone make you think we do not like it. It is not perfect, but it is better than no medicare as in the USA. As progressive in the world as the USA is, it is silly for the USA to not have medicare yet. Whereas Americans would go bankrupt with a hefty medical bill for a serious surgery, Canadians enjoy the help and carry on wonderfully.

We have medicare. I don't think it is going away soon even though the leftist progressives say some want to stop it.

Probably one reason so many canadian nurses come here to work.

BTW I think big difference is canada has universal healthcare while Obamacare if just forcing people to buy health insurance and forcing taxpayers to help pay for it.

We have medicare ,if your system is so great why cant my relative get in for simple back problem that she has been bedridden with for a year, over here they would have been in and out in 2 months whether , they can pay or not,i dont know anyone who has been through bankruptcy for medical bills.i have tons of medical bills and i still have a good credit score.

Bingo, i have a business relationship with a guy who just recently moved here from Nova Scotia ,he is a trauma nurse ,he coudnt get a full time job over there in less than a year ,he was hired immediately over here and just built a magnificent home with all the toys.

I am talking About the side of the coin of people who need medical help, not money-makers of the system.

I said it was not perfect but far better in general for the average person than the UsA's system. I lived there for 2 years in the USA. I was shocked at the cost of insurance. What a difference! If you have the bucks, you are fine. Otherwise, look out.

Most all Canadians love our system far better than not having it as the USA does not have it. And it is false propaganda to say Canadians do not like it. We have higher taxes, but it spreads the medical deal across the board, and we think of the States and say it is worth it to not lack the health care system we have.
