Newt Gingrich
I heard Newt's speech in Iowa today. He is so much superior to the other candidates in the field. Why don't more republicans support him? are republicans anti-intellectual? His moral baggage shouldn't derail his candidacy imo. I am willing to support Newt and Newt only.

Six months after the divorce from Battley was final, Gingrich wed Marianne Ginther in 1981.[123][124][125][126] In the mid-1990s, Gingrich began an affair with House of Representatives staffer Callista Bisek, who is 23 years his junior. They continued their affair during the Lewinsky scandal, when Gingrich became a leader of the Republican investigation of President Clinton for perjury and obstruction of justice in connection with his alleged affairs.[127] In 2000, Gingrich married Bisek shortly after his divorce from second wife Ginther. He and Callista currently live in McLean, Virginia.[128] In a 2011 interview with David Brody of the Christian Broadcasting Network Gingrich addressed his past infidelities by saying, "There's no question at times in my life, partially driven by how passionately I felt about this country, that I worked too hard and things happened in my life that were not appropriate."[125][126] |
Re: Newt Gingrich
This is a great article. Newt is my second choice for President.
The article covers these points and very well, I might add: 1) Newt Gingrich would run a competent campaign: 2) Newt Gingrich is a conservative icon: 3) His baggage isn't as heavy as it appears: 4) He has balanced the budget: 5) Newt is the most qualified person for the job: http://townhall.com/columnists/johnh..._newt_gingrich |

Re: Newt Gingrich
After the Cain scandal, while I think he is appealing in many respects, I don't think he will be nominated. Appears we all have baggage!!! Newt would be able to hit the ground running, he obviously know how Congress works and should be able to get things done.
I will vote for the nominee of the Republican Party, have no clue who it will be, haven't even decide who I think it should be. |

I am for Newt. He understands the objective and can explain conservative principles.
