Skirts for Female Boxers, "Elegant and Womanly"

Interesting. They are looking our way! :) Amateur International Boxing Association wants skirts for Olympians.

"That's right, skirts. The AIBA has introduced a trial alternate uniform, asking female boxers to wear skirts because it will make the women easier to distinguish from the men, as if the completely different bodies wasn't enough. Poland adopted the uniform, calling the uniforms more "elegant" and "womanly." "

"There are other Olympians who wear skirts while competing. Ice skaters wear dresses created by top designers, but what their performance looks like matters. Tennis and field hockey players wear skirts and kilts, but both outfits are part of those sport's heritage."

the latest fad in running wear for female runners is to wear a little skirt with leggings, it's a cute look

http://www.runningskirts.com/

you have to scroll down the page a little to see the skirt collection btw.

one of them in the picture is even a modest length

Some how "elegant" and "womanly" just doesn't seem to go with "boxing."

I was not actually going to acknowledge this with a response, but I have to agree. Especially with the term 'elegant'. I have seen some of what described in skating, and I do not find them to be elegant or lady-like although womanly might be a bit of an understatement. Just another reason to stay away from 'professional' sports.

I belong to USAFit Cypress group and about 90% of our runners (not walkers) wear the skirts to run in. They have all told me that the skirt to not bunch up between the legs and it helps them with more air flow. ????? I don't know. I wear this type of skirt when I am exercise/walking anyway. Not a big sweat pant fan.

Now, can we get the women mud wrestlers to wear skirts?

"I'm a lean mean fighting machine!"

This is all about making women look more sexy for ratings.
