Don't occupy your church?

Let me be radical for a moment and say that we ought to abandon our church buildings! Let’s throw off the yolk of four walls, and gas bills, and carpet cleaning to suggest that our buildings have become more a burden than a blessing. Imagine it. Now, that you’ve imagined worship without your precious churches and pews, or folding chairs and projectors, let me offer my humble solution. Let us partner.

In Acts 4:32 we see that the early church had no private possession and held everything in common. In sharing worshipping space, we make a move toward that sharing. We move away from “My church, my building” to “our churches, our building.” It is a system which honors the integrity and needs of individual worshipping communities, while also acknowledging that we are called to a common life together.

more socialist propaganda ...if people ever read the book of Acts it'll be our downfall..They'll see that Communism began with the Apostles with all their noble ideas like getting rid of the likes of Annias and his wife for holding on to their tax cuts..:poetic:laffatu

No, it was because they lied about their income. I think that would be enough to frighten anyone into filling out their tax forms correctly. They claimed to have given all, and Peter did not rebuke them for keeping part, but for lying about their gift. They wanted to look like they were committed, without actually having to be so. I feel a few messages in there somewhere.
