Abreviations and Acronyms
 

I have really been enjoying reading many of the old threads. Amazing how smart (and witty) some of you folks are. I have noticed that you seem to have a kind of board-speak and use a lot of acronyms and abbreviations I am not familiar with.

In example:

OP church
UC church

Lots of others that I am sure stand for denominational affiliation...

Can anyone direct me to a list or be kind enough to start one to clear some of these up? Or perhaps I'll just add the rest as I find them and some kind soul will help out.

On a funny note; The other message board I belong to is about milk cows. We have an acronym that stumps newbies every time; CALPC (cows are like potato chips). Hard to understand till you have had your own milk cow I guess :)

Look for the nfcf list of ...stuff.

UC = ultra conservative or ultra con

CALPC = you can't eat just one? :jolly

op is oneness pentecostal, there are a list of funny definitions on the main index, click "nfcf lexicon". most are outdated, but you can ask here, most will help.

If you are uncertain of a certain acronym, ask us and we will be more than happy to explain that you.

Ah, I was gonna suggest just the Gbar, or acronym generator... but they seem to stumble here, "OP" becomes "Orthodox Presbyterian"...lol

nfcf was the apostolic forum before aff. it is now closed. stands for new faith child forum, something like that.

And prior to NFCF it was called Faith Child Forum. this forum, AFF is the forum that sprang from NFCF & FCF

Several that use to post here started their own little amen club forum. I think that forum actually split into two apostolic miniters forum and apostolic preachers forum.

Not sure if they still exist, their was some rumors of moral issues with....ah never mind.

There are several of us that have been here since Jim Yohe founded Faith child.
