Cheapest was Southwest. 3 roundtrip for 1k. The other sites were 1k each.

I was going to suggest them, but I thought you were asking about sites like the ones I mentioned.

Southwest usually has better deals, overall, especially since they don't charge for carry-on bags, or at least allow one on board before charging...

Ha. Wasn't for me. Wish I was flying out. Just may do that some day. Get a title loan on my truck. Fly somewhere and disappear.

Pretty good for today's economy... still not the $59 'peanuts fare' we used to enjoy with SWA when visiting my family in Cali for the holidays... Love to see those come back!

I used to never reserve a flight, to anywhere; my last trip, to the Mideast, even--I just packed a bag got in the car, headed to the airport, and started Googling "cheap flights," on the way--ha, I got to Tel Aviv and back to Denver, British Airways, no less, for $1200. I've heard that people have gotten hip now, so that's tougher...and never tried it during peak times. There's nowhere to run to, anyway : )
