And would God ever punish anyone that didn't deserve it?

We are all guilty of rebellion and murder, thus we are all deserving of death.

Paul gives quite a list of things that he says are "worthy of death" in Romans 1. I guess, while most of us have never committed a murder, we are all guilty of some of the things Paul lists. I know I am. And, as such, am worthy of death. But, thank God, "His mercy endures forever"!.

Rom 1:32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

In a general sense we are all guilty of the whole of the law, and the wages of sin is death...

...but Jesus paid it all!

This human body can't live forever and that doesn't have anything to do with what any of us deserves.

I just figure that death is just the way it is until all of what God purposes in this world is fulfilled.

He did promise us life everlasting through Jesus Christ with a new body.
