Quiz for Elder Epley
 
I think I know the answers already, from previous posts, but, for the record, and especially for some of the new folks, would you mind giving us your views once again on the following things?

1. Will everyone who dies lost spend eternity in torment in hell?


2. Does the Bible say that if you die lost, you will spend eternity in the torment in the hell?


(For those of you who think these questions are redundant, and that Elder Epley would say "yes" to both, you might be surprised. Stand by. ;))

Here's another question, which I am not sure has been completely covered before. Maybe in bits and pieces. :dunno

3. What is the complete list of "dos and don'ts" that a saved person must follow to please God, and retain his or her salvation?

These sound like purgatory questions?

I know this quiz is to Brother Epley, but I have some thoughts on the matter. Maybe my thoughts will stimulate his answer?

Perhaps the real question should be Who makes the decision of who is “lost”?

I find scriptures that tell us who will not inherit the Kingdom of God such as:


Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God. I Cor 6:9-11


18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. (Galatians 5:18-21


But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. (Revelation 21:8)

But it doesn't answer what Timmy's original question of if you die "lost"...unless the above scriptures is an accurate description of the term "lost".


Our Savior Jesus is the only one who knows the innermost thoughts of man to be qualified to decide who is lost. He reaches people through the Holy Spirit drawing them. It is our job to help them connect to Christ. Is anybody qualified to make a judgment of any person being "lost"?

"Who is lost" is indeed an important question, but no, that isn't what I'm asking in my first two questions, in the first post. Specifically, they are asking about what happens in eternity to those who die lost. The subtle difference between them is what may lead to a surprise, for some, if and when Elder E answers. ;)

Yes. But Elder E may be the only one on AFF that knows it. If he holds back, we'll never know for sure when we are displeasing God! :winkgrin
