Christians understand the point of the Gospel: Christ paid for my sins. The profundity of the Gospel capsulated in five monosyllabic words. Amazing! This is how we teach it to our children. I hold up my right hand so they can see each finger. Starting on one end or the other, I allocate one finger for each word. Five fingers: five powerful words. It’s the Gospel: Christ paid for my sins.

I have not read the article but as far as "who pays for your spouses sin" goes I guess it would depend on if they are using your credit card for the hotel room!

I thought about it more after I posted, and realized that I should have said politicians make us pay for their sins. Look at the number of the gulity.

I like how it can be used for any relationship (as he points out at the end) because it's gospel centered living.
