Apostolic Friends Forum - Prayer for Work Trip to Costa Rica

Please pray for us (15) as we travel tonight to Costa Rica. We leave here at 3 AM to head out to Memphis to fly from there. I just found out that our work assignment this week is to take a soccer field down six inches so they can pour a slab there to build the new sanctuary!! I can't even think about it - my muscles tense up just pondering it. The whole thing is being done by hand, with shovels, picks and wheelbarrows. I reminded the missionary there that we have four men and 11 women. And I am almost 55! Plus we have one that is 62 and a few others about my age. The rest are younger.

Anyway, this is always primarily a work trip, but this one is making me nervous. Usually it's painting, sanding sheetrock, planing and sanding wood, varnishing, running wire, etc. This is the first time it's been anything this strenuous for us. Next year, I may not have anybody willing to go! Lol!

Oh well, we will just go and do what they've asked and deal with the pain. That's why we're going - to be a blessing to the Abraham Project, to do whatever they need. It's a miraculous and faith inspiring place! If you ever want to do a team trip somewhere that's not too expensive, you should get a team together and go down to work on this children's home project. It's amazing!
