Peace

How do you understand the concept of peace?

Re: Peace

Peace comes from faith in God. No matter how desperate the situation, you have true peace when you have taken your focus from the situation, and put your focus on Jesus instead. This is the ONLY way to have true peace in this world.

Re: Peace

In this world there is no peace. The only peace that we have is what we can find in Jesus Christ.

Re: Peace

The way I understand...It, this is all the peace we need? To just come out of that world, and accept Christ? Personally, I don't live in that world too much anymore--I'd like to say I'm completely divorced, but I have a couple bucks in my pocket, so...

But I would like to strongly recommend, to anyone that reads this, that if you just give away everything you own except the clothes on your back (personally, I would recommend white), and don't worry about where you'll sleep tonight, profound things will happen in your life; and if you are not prepared to do this, then we are just having a pleasant conversation?

Re: Peace

When I preach or teach about peace, I explain that it is not a feeling or thought but a condition. Peace is simply the lack of disturbance, so personal peace is a lack of disturbance on the inside. Peace means that in spite of what disturbances and storms and situation might be going on around me, there can be a lack of disturbance in me.
Furthermore, peace is a fruit of the Spirit. Therefore it is not intended to come from what is happening to me but because of what is inside of me.

Re: Peace

Peace is not really a emotion, but a assurance that since one belongs to Christ,He has one's best interest at heart.

Just remember, Peace does not equal Freedom or Liberty.
