Pet Sins

Everybody has em..."Oh sin...I love you...I'll never let you go...you've been with me so long, I just don't know how I could go on without you. *pet pet pet*" Don't be scured...whats yours? Could be a sin of omission (My understanding of omission is not reading the word, praying, or fasting like you know you should) could be a sin of doubt, we allll have em. Mines...*sigh* cigarettes.

My 'pet' sin is a tiny little ring I found deep in a cave.... I call it My Precious!

Cussing. I loved it... it was so... expressive. It took me years to stop and then I still thought in cuss words and sometimes when I am really angry I still do (think them).

I am quick to repent but that does not always make me feel better about it.

Smoking is a sin? J/K, it's the catholic background :)

One thing I was told that helped me quit the cursing is cursing shows a weak vocabulary. Try this out...try to replace your curse words with actual definitions of what you're saying. HUMAN EXCREMENT! always got me, I usually cursed when I was angry and just the thought of having to say human excrement was enough to make me giggle instead of curse. Try it out!

Nope I don't lack vocabulary... and I could cuss in some extremely inventive ways... not proud of it but that's how it was.

What I want to know is who sat down and listed all of the cuss words.... made a list and said this is it!

Titus2woman did you work in any of the churches that you attended and if you did what did you do?

Do you play the piano?

I've wondered the same thing but profanity really bothers my husband so it was a no brainer that I needed to stop out of respect for him.

In the Pentecostal church I wrote the weekly devotional for the bulletin and kept up with the announcements. I play the harmonica, no piano. In the Baptist church I did street ministry and fed the homeless two weekends a month and shared Jesus with them.

My husband is an incredibly gifted guitar player who made his living in music before we were in church. Why do you ask?

I'm guessing you need a piano player who can cuss like a sailor?
