When we arrived in a farm area the electric lines had gone out and they had bought fish....the fish were about to ruin so I told the lady if she had some salt my kids and I would salt the fish and hang out in the hot sun...so we found some wire and went to work!

Looks like nice weather while here in Canada near Winnipeg it is getting to temperatures of -20 lately.

Salt would be a good thing to have on hand should electricity fail us.... what a blessing you must have been to these people!!

That's cool... but did this cure/dry out before spoiling?? I would think you would add some smoke/fire.

But what do I know!!
