Seven is actually an upgrade of Vista, so it is much better. Vista had a few problems, they changed the name to 7.

It's similar enough to Vista that you can jump right on. It is much more compatible with different hardware and overall more stable. It is also much more secure.

windows 7...Vista is a resource hog. It takes way too much to run Vista properly. Of course it does depend on factors, whether or not you have a decent system, and your own personal preference.

Thanks for the info!

One innovative thing I really liked in vista since xp was that it allowed a search on any given window showing directories. Nice.
