Yehu...ashua?

I'm satisfied with Jesus. How many different spellings have you come across for Jesus' whatever you wanna call it...original Greek/Roman/Greco Roman/whatevs name, and might as well include different ways of spelling God? Here's what I've seen...
Jesus:
Yashua
Yeshua
Yehuasha
Yehushua
Jeshua

God (Or LORD):
YHWH
YHVH
Yehovah
Yahweh
Yahuah
Yahveh

I guess some might need to be in a different place, but I put them as I saw them on wherever I got em from. Anyone got any others?

Jeshu
Yeshu
Yahshu
Yeshua
Yeshuah
Jeshua
Jeshuah
Joshua

God:
Yah
Yahwuah
Jah
(and all the ones you've mentioned)

The sacred name movement makes my head spin.

I know right? Jesus and God have always served me just fine.

I studied with some "Black Hebrew Israelites" because their group interested me and a I knew a man who'd left Pentecost for them, for about a month. I'd join in studying with them during their Friday Night Sabbath services. I agreed to say nothing while they studied. They refused to use the name Jesus, they used Yahoshua as the name of Jesus and Yah as the name of the Father. They were Binitarian in nature and I believe they denied the divinity of Christ. They were an interesting group.

I have a brother who left Pentecost for an Armstrongist sect, some of those folks generally are the first to fall into the sacred name madness. Pray for him. I've been trying to bring him back for months now.

Jah Yah
used by Hebrews, who generally avoid saying the name of God. Ah, they made it in.

The potheads? Yeah. It's Biblical. They get it from Psalms 68:4. In King James God's name is written "Jah". they claim worship of the same God, it's just that they claim that the Ethiopian Emperor Haile Selassie is considered God/Christ reincarnated.

They're a strange bunch indeed.

Learn a new thing or three every day...hmm. I always considered Bob Marley an excellent "preacher" of peace and unity. But then...pot does tend to make one feel pretty lovey dovey.

JAH is my Elohim.

4 Sing unto God, sing praises to his name: extol him that rideth upon the heavens by his name JAH, and rejoice before him. Psalms 68:4

Sweet, yup. I much prefer that to emperor worship.
