Pray for direction or walk by faith?
Decisions, decisions. Big decisions. How do you handle them? Do you pray :begging for direction or do you step out in faith? :tumbleweed
Several times I have prayed for direction, and you know what I got? NOTHNG!!! :feedback Just many sleepless nights. :bedtime :smack :preach So, I have had to step out in faith. And every time God has made provision. :ty2 I am somewot in the middle of making a major decision, and I am asking for direction. I must be in Israel during the "silent" years, or something. SMH. This time, this time I don't want to step out. I really want direction. Rant over. :macho |

Big decisions should never be made: on Monday; when you're hungry; in Midlife; after a night out with the boys; right after your wife leaves you for another man; during an emotional Church Service; after a rant on AFF! :lol |

I love your new pic!!
Have you tried asking others to pray? If God has always honored your walking by faith why is it you do not want to just do that? |

Re: Pray for direction or walk by faith?
I have done both. Generally, I will pray about something, and I have yet to have Him fail to answer. However, His answers are not always what I want to hear, but I have endevoured to obey.
He very plainly told me to remain not once but twice and a few years apart. However, I was told that things were going to eventually change when I had learned what God wanted my to learn. My situation was compared to training. |

I use to make decisions on my own. But when I do it with thought and prayer. I pray with faith that the outcome will be what it is suppose to be. Whether it's always a good outcome (IMO) or not. But usually I take a leap of faith. Hope this helps. |
Re: Pray for direction or walk by faith?
If you really want an answer from God seek him early, consistent early morning prayer with some fasting and searching the bible, if God doesn't speak to you directly (which he may) look for him to speak to you through someone who walks closely with him, possibly your pastor, or circumstances that open to you.
Why early morning prayer? put God first every day. Why fasting? kill the input of the flesh. Why bible reading? we wash and renew our minds by reading the Word, and God speaks to us through his word. This is how we are led by the Spirit, by seeking the face of God through early morning prayer, fasting, and Bible study, and keeping our minds stayed on God by holy living. Psalm 57:8 Awake up, my glory; awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early. Psalm 63:1 O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is; Isaiah 26:9 With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness. |
