Friend, your point is excellent, I would find a different example to express then TD Jakes as a spiritual advisor.

TD Jakes' ministry is especially to the black community and he is doing a great job of it. Forgiveness in the black community toward whites would go a long way to eliminating the anger and tensions in our nation. If the so called black leaders at the national level, would preach forgiveness, they would find most whites as partners in peace. They aren't trying to find peace, since they capitalize on hatred.
You can't judge TD thru your lens of experience, he must speak to the experience and attitudes of the community that he is reaching. Praying with and for BO is not an indictment of TD, any more than Billy Graham praying with Clinton or Nixon, or even Reagan. |
