Saving Christians

Whether or not anyone subscribes to 'Once Saved Always Saved', I don't want to argue that, so let's just 'assume' we 'are' saved.....but, how many of us are 'really' living in our salvation? I think most of us (self included), believe we have 'aquired' salvation......but do we use it as a wall to shut ourselves off from everything and everyone around us?
I think often of John 10:10: "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly."
So, how do we live this 'life more abundantly'? I believe I am 'more' than this. How do we 'flip the switch' to turn on fully what we beleive Jesus died to give to us? I am more than the stereotype that I have molded myself into being by mimicking everyone around me including (and especially) those in my church. How do we 'really' change? How do we really 'become' all that He wants us to be?

Studying the Word, prayer and fasting would probably be the best way.

6 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:
7 Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. Colossian 2:6-7 (KJV)

6 Therefore, just as you received the Messiah Yeshua as Lord, keep living your life united with him. 7 Remain deeply rooted in him; continue being built up in him and confirmed in your trust, the way you were taught, so that you overflow in thanksgiving. (CJB)

6 And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him. 7 Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness. (NLT)

6. As you have therefore received Christ, [even] Jesus the Lord, [so] walk (regulate your lives and conduct yourselves) in union with and conformity to Him.
7.Have the roots [of your being] firmly and deeply planted [in Him, fixed and founded in Him], being continually built up in Him, becoming increasingly more confirmed and established in the faith, just as you were

Agree to that. Also PERSONALIZE what you read. Dont look at the New Testament as if its just history of the early Church.

when you realize Jesus is your all, your everything, When you realize that you are just as good as the sacrifice God gave you. then you can appreciate More what God has done for you.

The whole point of being born again was passing from judgment to grace. not by anything we have done, but by the sovergn mercies of God.

in this abundant life, your going to have spiritual mountains where everything is good, and your going to have terrible valleys where life stinks.

dont let your emotions dictate if your in or out of salvation. the word has given us assurance, as the Spirit is a deposit sealing us to the day of redemption.

personal devotions will help you grow closer to God,
(and we all have ups and downs with that)
but im just gonna tell you God is not gonna love you more than what he loves you right now.
