The Real Delegate Count - it's not over

Why "The Real 2012 Delegate Count""? The answer should be obvious. The mainstream media is simply not accurately covering the race for delegates in the Republican contest for President. In fact, if you watch network news you would believe that the Republican contest is over. It is not.

Texas primary excitement nothing to do with Romney

A Texas political analyst and former leader for the GOP isn't excited Texas is poised to put Mitt Romney over the top in securing the Republican presidential nomination.

"I really am tired of the lesser of two evils," he admits. "This is a terrible administration [we have now], but I sure would have preferred to see an authentic conservative be the nominee. Quite frankly, I think we're looking at 2016."

Voted for Newt and Ted Cruz today in the Texas Primary, stopped by Starbucks and picked up an Iced Coffee on the way home. :D

I learned that in Texas you are not required to register to an affiliated party. They just mark your card to make sure you don't vote twice.

Mitt won, just as we knew that he would in the end. Now I say let us move forward and reclaim the rest of the capital for our own.

It's more likely with Mitt than anyone else that was in the field!

Thus far, the voting in Texas is saying, "anyone but Romney" with 1/3, so far, (staying consistent throughout this campaign) going to other candidates:

Romney, Mitt 315,900
Paul, Ron GOP 44,238
Santorum, Rick 32,562
Gingrich, Newt 19,782
Uncommitted 18,524
Bachmann, Michele 5,642
Huntsman, Jon 2,843
Roemer, Buddy 1,517
Davis, John 1,330

Better pay attention to the delegates.

Interesting article. We've been watching this take place.

It's Romney's to Lose: Here's How He Does It

Romney's support has proven so shallow and Paul's so deep that, all over the country, at GOP meetings in which delegates are selected to represent a county at the state convention or a state at the national convention, there are too many Paulites in the room to allow pro-Romney party officials to get their favored slates pushed through without underhanded shenanigans. This is having important effects.

Romney's Achilles' heel is a moral one. It is the sum of all of the cheating that has been done in his favor by the party. For example...

Come on, PO, give it up. Romney is the nominee, now let's get BO out of the White House. That would be a great accomplishment, especially with GOP control of the Congress. If you don't think that would be a great improvement for the country and the world, you just don't understand the history of the parties. Yes, I would love to have a government that was even more in line with my values, but like it or not this country is very diverse, and requires a more moderate leadership to get anything done.
