To Blaspheme the Holy Spirit
Since I believe that God is the head, brain and life of His body of believers and his name is Jesus Christ and that there is no trinity--but a Unity---
Then when Jesus said that mankind could say anything they wanted about Him and be forgiven but if they blasphemed the Holy Spirit they would not be forgiven, I think this is what God meant God never sinned when He walked among men but was tried and judged as though He were guilty. His Holy Spirit of Love was blasphemed and will not be forgiven.--God is Love--the Spirit of Love is Holy--Those who love God worship Him in spirit and in truth. There is no opposite to God--If you hate your neighbor then there is not God nor love in you. If you hate and do not love--you have not the Holy Spirit (God/Jesus) I believe that the Holy Spirit is Love--the gift of the Holy Spirit is eternal life to those who love Him--you show that you love Him by keeping His commandments and loving your neighbor as yourself--because when you look into the eyes of your neighbor your looking into the eyes of God. |
Re: To Blaspheme the Holy Spirit
That's a good way to look at it. The way I always viewed blasphemy against the HS of God is this: a rejection of the third witness. When somebody sees God doing a miracle and in His heart says I will never believe this, I will never believe this is God. They have nowhere else to go, which is why it is unforgivable, if you see the work of the Holy Ghost and still don't believe, God won't show you anymore, you're choosing to be lost. At least that's what my instructor told me and then I studied it out and found it to make sense to me.

Re: To Blaspheme the Holy Spirit
HS blasphemy isn't too well outlined in post 1,
but I'll quote Zippy and say "I have no idea what you just said, but I find myself in total agreement." The 2nd seems plausible also. My current Right Pastor defines it as a refusal to allow the HS to speak thru you when you are "brought up before the antichrist," but his and the common vision seem to image like a king's court or something, when it seems to me this "being brought before..." might as easily be occurring in post 1, and maybe even post 2. |
