Driving Pet Peeves
On my way to Memphis today, we traveled along an interstate that has ongoing roadwork. This creates a bottleneck in many areas so I have learned to be patient when driving.
However, today as we drove out of a bottleneck when the lane was freed up, I saw a driver behind me come pass me at a faster rate of speed. I got into the left lane to pass someone else and the left lane was full and a long line. This guy decided that none of us was going fast enough for him and he could not pass all of us in the left lane. So he gets into the right lane and passes people going 70 mph on the shoulder of the interstate! He could have gotten a lot of people killed had he blown a tire or lost control on the shoulder as he passed. Sheesh. What's wrong with people? I have a lot of driving pet peeves, but I believe that this one takes the cake. |

Re: Driving Pet Peeves
Another one is when people stop dead in the fast lane to turn around in the median. :rolleyes2

Re: Driving Pet Peeves
Here is a short list.
A) People who drive the speed limit or under in the left most lanes. B) People, who when stopped at stop lights, insist of keeping 1-3 whole car lengths between them and the car in front of them. C) People, usually the same as B, who once the light turns green, allow the car ahead of them to get 50 feet down the road before they even start moving themselves. D) People, similar to C, who start out really really slow but slowwwwlllyyy accelerate to actual speeding (more then 10 over the limit) which happens by the time your able to get in the other lane (since everyone was passing them initially) and then your not able to pass without risk of a ticket. |

Ha ha ha!
What about those who are in an all fire hurry to get in front of you, then slow down to a crawl? |

People who won't use turn signals properly!

Re: Driving Pet Peeves
People who won't dim their lights or use those
horrible bluish/glarish colored headlights (those ought to be against the law!) |
Re: Driving Pet Peeves
Drivers that drive faster or slower than I do.
Drivers talking or texting on their cell phones while driving. |
Re: Driving Pet Peeves
Drivers, period. Not really a pet peeve,
so much as a cry for a little sanity. Driving is like forcing other people to smoke. |
