Just a thought...

Call me old fashioned, but my phone dials numbers. And that's it. I have no apps for that. Facebook is on my computer, not on my phone. My phone must be dumb, cause it sure isn't a smart phone. But I got to thinking...just how far are we from needing virus and spyware protection on our cell phones? Obviously identity theft and hacking is already an issue.

I only use my phone for conversations. Forget the internet on the phone.

As soon as I can, I'm going back to a flip phone.

I agree with ya'll. I use my phone only to talk or maybe send a text once in a while.
That's all I need it to do.

I hate my touch screen phone. I'm going back to a flip phone soon too.

Re: Just a thought...

I use a Blackberry for work so I can get emails along with phone calls. They block us from having apps although I can surf the web. The BB screen is so small though it is not easy.

About six months ago when my upgraded from a regular cell phone to an iphone 4s I got an HTC smartphone. I rarely use it since I have my work phone with me constantly but keep it in the car to stream radio stations from I heart radio. I can listen to my local station no matter where I am traveling to. Last Sunday on the way back from an out of state trip I was able to listen to the Tennessee Titans football game streaming through my smart phone.

I also like being able to check my personal emails easily. More than my smart phone I use my Kindle Fire. Almost every restaurant has free wifi now so I can read newspapers, check emails, and read a book while at lunch if I want.

My wife mutes her "smart" phone with her cheek (touch screen) all the time. And I get redialed from inside her purse a lot, too. :lol
