Bro. C. M. Becton once preached "The Creativity of God." It was a message about how God can/does set up things, sometimes years in advance, that will bring about miracles. I would say that this definately is an example of that.

What a wonderful story shared so eloquently! Many times when miracles come our way, we are in such shock that it is sometimes hard to really believe that such a thing happened to us! What a beautiful reminder that God has our best interests in mind long before we ever even know we need Him!

Abraham called Him YHWH-Jireh in Genesis 22:14. We translate it as "The Lord who provides" or "The Lord who sees ahead." Our word provide comes from pro meaning ahead or before, like our prefix "pre" and the word videre which means to see. To provide means to see ahead, to make preparations

I completely 100% believe that this is a true miracle and also believe this is how God predominately works, by seeing all of time at once and being able to plan for something in the distant future by shaping events, ever so subtly, now.

Imagine a deadly fire raging in China three weeks from now and some little girl being trapped on a roof, now imagine God causing a butterfly somewhere in IL or MN or WI to flap it's wings TODAY causing a disturbance which will result in a sudden downpour of rain at this families house just in time to save her.

On another related topic, this reminds me of the movie Ninja Assassin. The female lead is stabbed through the heart at one point but just when the hero thinks she is dead, her eyes open. It appears that she was born with a defect where her heart is on the opposite side of her body.
