Help Me Pray...
 

I have a simple request. For the past five years, I haven't gotten to sleep without chemical help. Well...I don't have any medicine. I'm running on two hours of sleep, and that's been the routine for awhile now. I'm holding on to a thread, hanging over a volcano. If I miss one more night of work, I lose my job. Please help me to pray for just three or four hours of natural sleep before work, so my life doesn't begin to unravel. Thank you.

try listening to some comforting music while falling asleep.
try memorizing some scriptures and quoting them to yourself while falling asleep.
Image yourself in the arms of Jesus safe and protected from all harm, and sleep in peace.

Matt, my mind whirls at night. It doesn't want to go to sleep. So if I can keep my mind on a subject that I like to listen to, it is easier to fall asleep.

Many times I put the Bible on DVD on at night and it plays all through the night. I fall asleep with it playing scripture and I wake up to scripture in the morning.
