Unclean Lips
It is when I am truly in the presence of the Lord, I am reminded that I am a man of unclean lips. It is then that the beauty of the Cross looks so spectacular to me. The "I am" loves me and counted it all joy to die for me. I am reminded to keep a praise on my lips and a shout on my tongue and His name first in my life. I am a man of unclean lips!

Re: Unclean Lips
Here's a good scripture verse. :nod
James 3:9-12 "Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God. Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be. Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter? Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh." |
Re: Unclean Lips
Good thread. God has been dealing with me on this. Like David prayed " let the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be holy and acceptable..." , Ive been praying that God would be evident in my thoughts, leading to clean speech.

Re: Unclean Lips
Amen; I've been getting impressed with this of late also.
Quote:
"I AM," the am being emphatic, to differentiate from all the other "I's" that God is indicating in this that He is not. Peace. |

How does one interpret this verse, plain enough on it's face, but in context with, say, "What you bless will be blessed, and what you curse, cursed?" Which plainly seem to indicate that we are to be cursing something; assumably evil. |
