'Behavior Recognition' Software

(CNSNews.com) - Police in Tampa, Fla., reportedly will use behavior recognition software as part of their video surveillance of the Republican National Convention and the surrounding area on Aug. 27-30.

John Frazzini, president of BRS Labs, said the technology will "look for abnormal activities, send real-time alerts to security personnel and take 'deep dives' into the intelligence that the system has collected over the course of time."

I understand they will not be able to use it at the Democrat Convention. Joe Biden would set it off too much!!! :happydance

I tend to keep up with this stuff but I honestly cannot see behavior recognition software being all that accurate. We JUST got to the point where facial recognition is accurate.

Mmm, I don't know; there are patterns of behavior,
staying too long in one place, even, that seem counter-intuitive,
but work well.

I understand that the IRS has
software to detect cheating on taxes,
one element being that people tend to randomize
numbers that they are making up, when reality
contains many more ones and nines? I think it was,
than intuition would suggest. Etc.

Plus, it doesn't have to be all that accurate,
if you think about it; their position will be
"anything that helps," and they will have
or manufacture an early success, and improve
upon it.
