Churches in Wisconsin?

Hi everyone :waving

My husband and I are seriously considering moving to Wisconsin next year. We are looking at possibly Madison, Milwaukee, or Appleton areas, depending on employment opportunities, real estate, etc.

So here's the thing. We really want to find a church to go to together there. (That would be a HUGE step for us.) Preferably non UPC, like maybe a former UPC church or something similar? I don't agree with all of the legalism in UPC churches, but might consider a UPC church if it was more liberal. He leans towards UPC, but would consider a former UPC pastor that still abides by the three step doctrines, etc. We are both in need of spiritual/emotional healing after the last church situation we were in, and are both hesitant, but know we need to make a change.

Does anyone know of any good churches in Wisconsin that might work out? I would really appreciate it. :)

I have heard that many of the UPCI churches in Wisconsin were lightening up on their standards.

I know exactly the Church you are looking for. Mark Nutting the Pastor is ex UPC. He has been Pastoring an independent Church for somewhere over a decade. They do not teach outward standards. They do teach the 3 step doctrine. They do teach strong BIBLICAL HOLINESS. They are located in Lyons Wisconsin. I think a larger town nearby is called Burlington. If I were in the area I would attend there.

Here is their site.

Thank you everyone! :) I'm going to look into all these suggestions. Who knows? Maybe one of them is the right one.
