2011 - 2012 United Pentecostal Church Report
I was surfing the web and ran across this online pdf of the recently published UPCI annual report for 2012.
I have only had a chance to read the first few pages but for those interested in the United Pentecostal Church this report gives data on how many licensed ministers there are, how many churches, and how many of those churches are affiliated vs non affiliated. The report also has financial data for those interested or concerned about the reported financial woes in recent years. It appears the UPCI operated in the black this year and has a substantial amount of cash on hand. Here is a link to the webpage with the pdf of the report; http://ca.upci.org//moduleUploads/20...0for%20Web.pdf |

Resolution #2
"The Lord Jesus came “to seek and to save that which was lost” (Luke 19:10). This divine act of atonement is dependent on the blood of the Lamb of God and is the foundation that makes salvation possible. For “without the shedding of blood is no remission” (Hebrews 9:22). “In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace” (Ephesians 1:7). “Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood” (Revelation 1:5). Salvation is by grace through faith based on the atonement provided in Jesus Christ by His death, burial, and resurrection (Acts 2:38; 20:28)." Does this mean that there is more necessary than the blood of Christ? |

Acts 2:38- blood applied when you are baptized in water, but you're lost if your not multilingual. Acts 20:28- Tough one. It may be listed because a word search for "blood" brought it up. Or it could give pastors free range to enforce standards, their justification being that they have to watch over the saints, for the sake of the blood. I don't know. I'm no lawyer. |
Re: 2011 - 2012 United Pentecostal Church Report
Having read the resolutions, I did not find anything that surprised me or seemed controversial. I did feel that the issue of atonement might have possibly been redundant considering that the first several portions deal with this. However, as they felt the need to state it, I will take no issue with it. The most controversial portion seems to have been the issue regarding the military service.
