Gee what a surprise. The sad part is that this story won't motivate and mobilize Christians in NY to unseat the judge. Electing a gay judge, now that would be no problem...

Should the laws of the country be the same as the Bible's laws?

That's a good Q! Actually, I don't think that's even possible? We have examples...of failures.

There is a decent argument that that is how the Kingdom comes about; through societal evolution (I know, dirty word) into a country that follows the Bible, sans the religion. I forget the name of the doctrine.

Dominionism?

Is it? Sounds right. Yule know we're
getting closer when 'elections' are over-
-forever.

We have a couple other clues,
but being as how we would then be
discussing what Christians should really
be doing, and there aren't any drones, or
vicarious hating of other neighbors involved,
I'd then put the life of this thread at
about 2 more posts.

Re: DOMA has been declared unconstitutional

I personally believe that living the homosexual life style is wrong according to the Bible. Some references in the NT would be:
Romans 1:18-32
1 Corinthians 6:9-11
1 Timothy 1:8-10
Jude 5, 7
Let's leave off the OT verses because we are not under the Law.

Not all Christians believe that homosexuality is wrong because they interpret certain passages differently than I do. Not everybody has chosen to live their lives according to the Bible.

Is it fair for me to impose my interpretation of certain Scriptural passages on others who do not understand them the same way I do or on those who have chosen to live their lives by some other rules than the Bible? If we deny gays and lesbians the right to marry, a whole segment of our population has been denied some rights based on gender.
