We all know that can't be the REAL Holy Ghost. Must be some kind of false spirit because: the girl has on a bifurcated garment the preacher is CoG and therefor preaches three gods the preacher has spiked hair some women in the crowd have trimmed or cut hair and jewelry our God would not associate with those kind of folks etc. etc. |
Re: Kids Getting a dose of the Ghost!
I got the Holy Ghost in the Church of God, Labelle Fl, 1979.

like that? The Lord God will give the gift of His Holy Ghost to ANYONE who truly wants to receive Him. |

Sam is attacking that nasty attitude that is so prevalent in Apostolic churches as he sarcastically belittles the Move of God at this Trinitarian church. I typed a whole lot more, but I have deleted and have decided to go back to praising the Lord. Have a good night y'all! I have found many Apostolics to not be good humans. |
Re: Kids Getting a dose of the Ghost!
I always understood that as Sam's way
of agreeing with one, while convicting another. I don't even have to ask him; he was not sarcastically belittling anything, except judgemental 'standard'ized attitudes. I'm lucky, I guess, in that I have not found any of the Apostolics you mention; all the ones I have known were sure human enough :lol See how premises are revealed here, all while broadcasting TIC agreement with you, and just a light poke at some faceless standards. You might read this with your other eye. |

But it is so overdone. Most of those people no longer post here. From my POV, it creates an opportunity for... nevermind. I'm just exhausted. My apologies. Carry on.

Re: Kids Getting a dose of the Ghost!
It has been a long time since I seen a YouTube video of anything that you could see tears running down faces, and God truly moving in their midst. Thank you for sharing that NavyGoat. It is a gift from God to move on the hearts of these young children. I just pray that they will be discipled from this time forth. Too many times, I have seen it... saints think... whew... they got the HG and move on to the next one... and forget that these little ones need to be discipled too, and taught principles of discipleship of Christ. They think... well, I've got the HG, and now, forever my salvation is sealed, and many never come back to speaking in tongues again after the first initial experience.
My hope and prayer is that these children, and all who first receive the baptism of the HG are made aware that it is just the beginning of a wonderful journey with Christ.... We need more true disciples of Christ than just "speakers in tongues". It is the power Christ has enabled us to continue to carry out our journey here on earth as witnesses and His disciples. There is much more to living as a disciple of Christ than just speaking in tongues. But it was just wonderful to see the heartfelt emotion, and joy on the faces of those little children! |
