Texas Petition to Secede 60k sign Petition
I heard on the news this morning that due to the number of signers Obama will have to respond.
My question is who has the power to make these decisions? |
Re: Texas Petition to Secede 60k sign Petition
Not likely to happen. Has to go through the Legislature surely, wouldn't make sense otherwise.

No, the President doesn't have power alone in that.

Re: Texas Petition to Secede 60k sign Petition
it would have to be put on the state ballot, I would think .

Who do they petition? Congress?

Re: Texas Petition to Secede 60k sign Petition
The signers are looney.
If they were to seriously secede, do they really think they would fare better separately than together? Idiots. Yes anyone who would honestly sign a petition to have their individual state leave the United States of America is an idiot and a moron. If they don't like it here, they can buy themselves a one-way ticket to Australia, Norway or wherever they think they would have it better! |
