In your opinion, what's the difference between "counted" and "numbered?"

One has seven letters, one has eight.

Count.....
• Determine the total number of (a collection of items).
• Recite numbers in ascending order, usually starting at the number one.

Numbered.....
• Amount to (a specified figure or quantity); comprise: "the demonstrators numbered more than 5,000".
• Include or classify as a member of a group: "the orchestra numbers Brahms among its past conductors".

Example: The hairs on your head are numbered.
As if counted wasn't enough, the very hair on your head is numbered. That means when one of your hairs latches onto the comb, god can say that's hair number 15,278. Do you get the message that's being relayed?
