Alternate "Non Ring" Proposal Ideas Needed
Wanting to gather ideas on proposal gifts that one can give to a woman if you are a non ring wearing Apostolic. Just interested in ideas.
No need to respond if you plan on turning this into an adornment standards scripture debate. |
Re: Alternate "Non Ring" Proposal Ideas Needed
Does she wear a watch? You could give her a nice watch with a meaningful inscription on the back.

Resist debating puhllleassseeee......
I like the idea of a watch with an inscription, I need to see if she wears them because I've never seen her in a watch. |

Re: Alternate "Non Ring" Proposal Ideas Needed
How about a Bible with your proposal written inside the cover?
Just a random idea off the top of my head.... Seems like anything less than a Bible may be offensive to her... since you haven't seen her in a watch, and those ungodly rings.... well they are from the Catholics and we can't have that ;) .... .... She probably doesn't wear hats either.... so a hat wouldn't work. Maybe you could talk to her father, and see what he thinks would be appropriate? |
Re: Alternate "Non Ring" Proposal Ideas Needed
PraiseHymn, when I was a young lady, I and my sisters in the Lord would give each other gifts. Gifts from people meant something to me. I still have many of those momentos here, 33 years later. I have a little water vessel pottery that was given to me during a Ladies Seminar hosted by our District with Sis Nona Freeman. It was a special time.
Maybe your lady friend likes momentos? But from you it should be very special. Have you considered buying her a special music box that she can put on her dresser or her table with a big bible on a doily? Women like to do those sorts of things too. :) http://www.musicboxattic.com/weeding...ion-event.html Or maybe a pretty plaque she can put on the wall in your home with some words inscribed on it that came from your heart...like your proposal. The plaque can be made up with surrounded by a beautiful ivory or porcelain frame. Just a couple of ideas here. |
