After mapping the human genome scientists began mapping the Neanderthal genome.

THE GIST

- A newly mapped Neanderthal genome provides strong evidence that humans and Neanderthals interbred.

- Between 1-4 percent of the DNA of many humans living today likely came from Neanderthals.

- People of European and Asian heritage are most likely to carry the Neanderthal genes.

I've been following this story for a few years now. Dr. Fazale "Fuz" Rana (who often collaborates with Hugh Ross) has been talking about this and initially thought that any DNA evidence would turn out to be mistakes on our part as he did not believe that interbreeding would be possible, but so far it is looking more and more likely.

Are you saying that perhaps the "sons of God" were the decendents of Adam... and the "daughters of men" were Neanderthal females? (The subject in the beginning of Genesis 6?)
