Genesis 1:2

Anyone ever do a study on the word "was" in Genesis 1:2. The Hebrew word is hayah

Interesting stuff on just one little word.

No, Michael. was=without. Not God, the Earth was.

Yep, sure is. Are you suggesting the correct translation should be "became"....as in three earth ages? :)
