Lutheran Pastor Apologizes For Praying
Lutheran pastor apologizes for praying in Newtown Vigil. Old time Pentecostals aren't the only ones who practice exclusivity!
"Pastor Rob Morris, who leads the Christ the King Lutheran Church in Newtown, violated the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod's rule against taking part in joint worship services, said the synod's president, Pastor Matthew C. Harrison. Participation could be seen as endorsing "false teaching" because some among the diverse group of religious leaders at the vigil hold beliefs different from those of synod." Re: Lutheran Pastor Apologizes For Praying
I think he was right to apologize he had no business joining in prayer with muslims nudist and other worshipers of false gods if he claims to be a Christian. (not saying I agree with his doctrine)

Re: Lutheran Pastor Apologizes For Praying
Yup, being around Muslim nudists is definitely not a time to shine the light of the gospel.....

Re: Lutheran Pastor Apologizes For Praying
To shine the gospel yes to participate in prayer as though all faiths represented are equal or that all the gods being prayed to are the same as God this is unacceptable. Proclaiming the gospel would have been very proper but joining in anything except a prayer of repentance was not right at all.

Re: Lutheran Pastor Apologizes For Praying
How does him praying represent all the faiths as equal? BTW where there naked muslims there?

Re: Lutheran Pastor Apologizes For Praying
Lol sorry about the typo there I meant buddhist not nudists :) .
To join with them in prayer as if you are saying YOU PRAY TO YOUR God AND I WILL PRAY TO MINE AND WE CAN ALL GET ALONG when their god is no god at all. |
Re: Lutheran Pastor Apologizes For Praying
buddhists and nudists, quite different images lol.

Re: Lutheran Pastor Apologizes For Praying
I was starting to think I had really missed something by not seeing that there were Muslim nudists at that prayer vigil. Certainly a group I had never heard of before. I was thinking it must be made up of only Muslim men. Kind of like at Wet N Wild Orlando last year when the young muslim man was enjoying the wave pool in his t shirt and shorts while his wife tried not to drown in her head to toe Burkha in the pool.

Joining in prayer, even with those who pray to Allah or whoever, does not denote agreement. As someone noted, Elijah let the other dudes pray, and then he called on Jehovah. What's the problem in that? |
