End times prophecy /word of knowledge
 

I couldn't find the right place to put this thread so I'm sorry. I just want to know if any others are getting these types of prophecies.

My friend attends a different apostolic non-denominational church than I do. When I went there a few years ago, it was once prophecied as thus saith the Lord that time was short. My friend told me that Sunday another prophecy went out, "Thus saith the Lord, it's just around the corner." I do not doubt this man as a prophet because he has the closest walk with God of anyone I've ever known, and his prophecies have always been fulfilled.

Now...in my own church we've not had any prophecies but about every few weeks we get a sermon that in some way touches on Jesus' return. There seems to be an urgency in the air if that makes sense. More so in the last few months.

Is anyone else feeling this?

depends if you believe in a pre trib rapture or a post trib rapture. i believe post trib so until i see a peace treaty in israel i won't be getting any goosebumps.

I believe that we are very very close to the rapture.

We are getting close to the fall of America as we once knew it. The whole world descending into darkness. The remnant Church getting very serious with God. The rapture is not yet.

I believe post-trib but I'm not set in stone on that. The man that spoke the prophecy believes post-trib as well. I guess I'm taking this to mean that things are going to start moving fast in that direction. I'm also watching Israel.

Ah, I'm anti-pre-post trib, personally; and would like to suggest that Christ rose, and lives, and also walked the earth in what He described as the 'last days.' See that there is a sense in which you cannot ever be any closer to Christ than you are now; and get closer to Christ. Understand I AM.

IMO America has very little to do with end times prophecy and only Americans can't see that. Hopefully many in the church in America are saved.

My favorite one was "Times are hard. Times are very hard. In fact times are so hard I can't barely make it myself saith the lord"

I'll play a card from the Preterists. The Lord may promise a "coming"...but it might not be the "Second Coming". It might be that God is about to visit the community, state, or nation in question with testing and/or judgment.

I am post trib all the way...
