Communion

What wine do you recommend for communion?

Do you use bread, wafer host, cracker?

Most use crackers of some sort. But, the Mennonite churches I was raised in bake Unleavened Bread. the texture is like a heavy sourdough.

We use wafer host and homemade wine, but Mogan David oe Manishawhitz is good to use.

Okay. And how much wine and bread may one consume without crossing over from holy to sacrilege?

I am friends with some Pentecostals from Russia - and been to their church a time or two. they take regular communion, and use fermented wine. They also bless the wine, and believe as the Catholics do, that none should be left over after blessing it... interesting to see the Elders drink the leftovers. lol

Wouldn't Russian Christians drink Vodka instead of wine?

Id imagine if in times past your beverage was vodka, a little wine wouldn't phase you :heeheehee

Have any of you done a bible study on "fruit of the vine" or can refer me to one online? This is still a controversy in our neck of the woods...grape juice vs wine.
