Gardeners quaphonics?
Anyone here ever tried Aquaphonics.
If so, any vegetables that doesn't work with this system? |
Re: Gardeners quaphonics?
I haven't actually grown veggies but this is how I partially operate my fresh water aquariums. They all have live underwater plants but I also grow a number of house plants with their root dangling in the water.

they symbiotic relationship is interesting. The waste produced by the fish, in the tanks must be cleaned or the fish become toxic and die. So the plants are used to "scrub" the water. the waste become nutrients for the plants, cleaning the water for the fish. it is quite interesting. Im not going to ever do it, its pretty labor intensive, but if you are into sustainability for ecological or "prepper" reasons, it is a very solid way to go. |
