How's the economy where you are?
Lately I hear news that the economy is doing better. They say that house sales are improving and more houses are being built, but If you one whose had a house for sale for sometime you may think, huh? And they say that there are more jobs but if you are someone who has been unemployed or under employed for last 8 years you go, huh? And the quality of the Jobs on a scale of 1 to 5 is like 1 or 2. Part time, low pay, no benefit jobs. I think they are lying.

We have conservative government that is business-friendly here in Arizona, but my house is still worth about 30 percent of the mortgage value. I'm employed and able to pay my note, so as far as I'm concerned, I'm not depressed.

Re: How's the economy where you are?
In our surrounding area there seems to
be a good bit of construction work still available, plus, a few shipbuilding sites, but, the small town where we live, you have to travel 60 miles one way to get to that work and that means having to get up around 3:30 each morning to get to work on time......then usually getting home just in time to eat, bathe and get to bed. But, we're thankful we have a job. |
