Criticism of oneness doctrine-
Does anyone recognize this list of Trinity criticisms of Oneness? As I remembered it came from the Oneness of God by Bernard, but I cannot find it in his book. Perhaps it was written by him in another of his books but I've given all those away. Can anyone help me with the source?
Oneness is heresy Oneness is a cult Modalism has an evolutionary God who changes. Modalism teaches they have an exclusive truth apart from systematic theology, creeds, confessions, and reverent commentaries They deny the authority of the Holy Spirit in history Oneness comes from "pagan roots." The Modalistic God is, "incoherent." Jesus Christ is a vague power rather than the incarnation of a divine person. Truth is replaced with relativism concerning God. God is a Trinity in one era, Mohammed in another, etc. |

Modalism does not have an evolutionary God who changes...and Oneness is not really modalism Modalism does not teach "we have an exclusive truth apart from Systematic Theology"...that it's not inline with confessions or creeds don't prove it's not biblical What does "authority of the Holy Spirit in history" mean? "pagan roots" is a rather subjective argument as is the "incoherent" argument since everyone claims the other persons theology is incoherent Oneness teaches Jesus is God incarnate...so that's a false argument Truth is not replaced with relativism concerning God. We believe the bible is an absolute truth and authority on who and what God is. Trinity and Mohammed? |

"LOL, Prax these were supposed to be arguments Oneness people made of Trinitarian doctrine. I know they "don't make sense." Most Oneness folks do not know what ** believe. BUT, sad to say, a lot of (more then should be) Trinity folks cannot articulate Trinitarian doctrine either. Its no wonder Oneness people are confused about **!" |

Re: Criticism of oneness doctrine-
Beside the fact that God exists and is Creator there is no truth as glorious and magnificent than Oneness. I will define it that the Christ (Yeshua) is both the Everlasting Father and the Begotten Son.
Isaiah 9:6 6 For unto us a child is born , unto us a son is given : and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor , The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. |

This division of brothers and sisters about the Godhead makes me sad.

I am over the whole bickering about the Godhead. Like many here I have had fellowship with both groups and I think that we all say the same thing in a different way and we worship the same God. Trinitarian,Oneness or Twoness who cares?????
