I've heard plenty about the grace of God from a former OP pastor. He recently resigned from pastoring but grace was a major topic of his.

Could be because of the view that it could turn into a license to sin. The grace covers everything viewpoint in other words. Where sin abounds, grace much more abounds.

Then again, it could be because it might conflict with some of the three-stepper beliefs of some OPs.

I got a friend who is exupc pastor who has converted to radical grace doctrine.

Could be. Fear of going to hell for the person who has turned to Christ is a great motivational/control factor. Take away grace and redemption by the blood of the Lamb and you have a good environment for a fear based, condemnation based religious system.
