Visited my first house of ill repute

In Tombstone!

The history of this place is unbelievable. There were over a hundred bullet holes just in the entrance to the Bird Cage. There was a poker table which featured a game that never ended for 7 years (we're talking 24/7/365). And then there are the ghosts. . . .

My husband LOVES that movie and I would love for us to be able to see this . It is like where us and my parents live way back up the Rockies here on Northern Colorado, you can still find OLD western towns and even tho they are almost inaccessible unless like us when we go by our Horses....they are amazing to see and just to think about it....we have found old wagon trails, and many different things~ like once we found this old log house lined with newspapers dating back to 1892....we still have them....it was awesome!!!! We still go exploring sometimes....

Tombstone was an incredibly violent place. We stopped at boot hill and walked around the grave sites where there was generally a description of how the person died -most were shot, with many hanged. The place was mostly lawless, even though it had a famous law man on staff.

I'll post quite a few more in the coming day or two. These two were taken by my wife but I have yet to off load any of the pictures I took with my camera. (That's me in the blue Hawaiian shirt and hat in the 2nd pic.)

I would LOVE to hear more about what you found, Godzchild!! This is fascinating to me because it is not a tourist attraction - it is real life as it happened!! How cool is this!!!!!

My mom has the pics of the places we have been and right now she is in Fla. My dad had a triple by-pass back a few years and all the meds he is on has really thinned his blood and he cant take the winters here or Montana so they bought them a home in Fla where they spend the winter and then return back here and Montana for the summer. When she gets back I will get those pics and post them. We have horses and we go load them up and go exploring all the time except this last year. Been too busy moving and "life".... But I will speak with my mom today and tell her to be sure and get those pics ready for me. I can tell you , those newspapers were awesome to me, just to see what the news was back then in the 1800s then to walk inside of buildings that were back in that era.....I have say that I sort of got lost in time....and to say the least....it was really sweet. My parents, me and my husband started doing this as a family thing back when I was a still teenager with babies and all in 1980 :) and to me even then was something I would look forward to every weekend. I will be glad when we get to do it again! This time I will have MY own camera :foottap
