My Former A/G Pastor Disappointed w/ My Decision
I told my former A/G Pastor this morning after service that I was "homesick" and that I was going to return to my UPCI church in Apopka.
His facial expression as he briefly went through the theological differences that we both share with the UPCI was one of disappointment. The theological differences I have with the UPCI are real, but in the end, I really do miss my old church and my old Pastor. I think I made the right decision for me right now. |

I am sure you will be thrilled to be "back home" and will absolutely love it!
Is it Pastor Williams church you are returning to? |

This is a hard journey Jermyn. I wish you the best, but your not done running. Its hard to sit someplace under teaching that you don't believe. What do you do when the tongue is done and the emotionalism has settled??? |

May GOD direct your path, Jermym, as you go back. The word "homesick" caught my attention. If you had never been "home", you would not be "homesick". On the journey away from home, the prodical son had not yet "come to himself. After he came to himself, (after the pig pen experience), he set his sights on "home".

Re: My Former A/G Pastor Disappointed w/ My Decisi
Be sure you don't fall in the trap of thinking that oneness pentecostals are the beginning and the end of the Church of the Living God on the earth. Be sure you recognize that most of the body of Christ aren't oneness pentecostals.
If you do that, I doubt you'll stay 'home' very long for home is where the heart is and a Christian's heart is with the entire body of Christ, not just a relatively tiny few which trace their beginnings to a camp meeting in Los Angeles in 1913. |
