Midweek service

I'm really having trouble getting back into midweek service. The church we used to attend didn't have one, but the church we're going to now does. But I feel like I'm not there for the right reasons, so I haven't been going.

Anyone else skip midweek? Do you get any flack for it?

Don't worry about it. Just don't go. When you feel like going, then go.

Next!

The church you used to go to didn't have small groups mid week? Most churches that don't have a midweek service do that.

I make every service possible. I have been to the last several Wednesday night services. There have been times that I felt like not going, but I refuse to give the flesh or the devil an inch. I always find myself feeling better after having gone than before. The motives that you have for attending do not matter. Bring the flesh under subjection to Christ and stop forsaking the assembly of yourself with the rest of the fellowship.

That's absurd. Some people don't go to a service because they are sick or dead tired. Others I know don't even get off work until an hour after the service began.

Tell the church to have that service on a day when we can all go then we can all "not forsake the assembling together of yourself"

I can't stand that church culture where people whose life circumstance works out so they can go to these services and throw stones at those that can't as "carnal"
