Why do you participate at AFF
 

Quoting myself from another thread:

"I am here for the fellowship of other Apostolic people in a place where they are not under pressure to conform their thoughts, words and actions to fit a mold under threat of rejection. I am here to see how they view God in freedom of thought and speech so that I might better understand and love God. I am here to draw strength and courage from others like me and to listen to and learn from those different from me. So I believe that even someone with different views, vastly different than my own, will be used of God for my growth. Because of who God is, not who we are, there is something worthwhile in each of us."

Got me to thinking about WHY I come here and wondering why others take the time from busy days to come here and read and post... Please share a little about why you spend time at AFF if you would.

We are here for exactly what you just wrote!


We are God's misfits & lost in this world to a point of dispair. Till 3wks ago & now about every minute of everyday is getting a little brighter.

So I keep running back in here to get more oil for the lamp, as what you get from Sunday only lasts so long :)

Iron sharpens iron; and I come here for this, as I assume that, among the multitude of choices available online, anyone who chooses to come here must be fairly committed to God. Thank you, Timmy.

And to anyone I inadvertantly offended, I apologize; while wondering how you might call yourself a Christian, and yet still be offended--if the offense was obviously deliberate, then my guess is that the shoe fit? I'll miss you guys, bbyrd009.

Actually, mostly because people bump old threads, and it sends me an email, and I'm starting thinking "Hmmm...I wonder what's the latest in the Standards debate..." :heeheehee

I am here to meet with others like me and others that aren't like me. There are many here that have been through hurts, habits and hangups. None of us are perfect, but all of us are loved perfectly by God. We can commune together though we don't agree on all points. This is a place that arguements start, but the ones arguing can end up great friends. It's happened to me here. I found one of my very best friends through AFF. I found knowledge, grace, mercy and strength here too. That is why I am here.
