EMS Appreciation Week

this was wrote and sang by a fellow EMS member.....literally was in tears in my bunk while watching it....it just reminded me why I do this job....I guess I had became emotionally distant to it because the huge amount of hours...we are talkin sometimes 220 hours every two weeks at times....the average is 180.....and with the lack of sleep and low pay per hour and just the pure foolishness of some of the junk we put up with I had been considering other employment....this snapped me out of it.

Re: EMS Appreciation Week

Awesome! Very moving!

I still remember the early days, before Field Protocols and Trauma Centers. Patients had to go to the nearest hospital, even though you knew that it would result in their death.

I was involved in the fight in the Texas Legislature to get that changed. Officially designated Trauma Centers became the Rule of Law. It was an historical moment.

I was on site for 36 hrs straight when Delta 191 went down at DFW Airport. It was August 2, 1985. My life changed forever that day! I'm not sure you ever get over something like that. You just move on!

God Bless you Jedi, in all that you do. God be with all our First Responders.
