Need help with music theory
 

Is there anyone here who is a musician who is knowledgeable about music theory and the history of music etc?

I need some help regarding the subject of metrical hymnody and how compositions are/can be developed (keys, chord changes, iambic vs trochaic meters, etc etc).

If you are also familiar with plainsong and 'church modes' that would be additionally helpful.
